We are aware of several potential causes; however, what we need to say to patients and others about interdisciplinary collaboration. In this paper, we will discuss three aspects of collaborative interdisciplinary philosophy as defined in the definition of interdisciplinary practice–focus, practice, and research. A more specific discussion of why our interdisciplinary team should inform research and clinical practice in this application is included.
